The Archbishop of Canterbury is due to visit Gloucester Diocese for three days at the end of July and will be making a particular visit to the Forest of Dean for a special communion service at which he will preach, at Newland Cathedral on Sunday 22nd July at 11am.

This will be preceded by a walking pilgrimage to Newland from three points - Coleford, Redbrook and Clearwell, each setting off at 9.30am. What better way to avoid the parking crush at Newland!

The other main event of the weekend is a day at Gloucester Cathedral on Saturday 21st July 2-5pm, where the Archbishop will be available to answer questions, special sessions for families with children and for adults. There will also be lots of other activities - crafts. sports, worship, clowns. magicians and so much more. Bring a picnic and join in the fun.
