'CROSSROADS' - a relaunch of the Christian Union at Wyedean

The Youth Minister has been workng with a team of dedicated sixth formers at Wyedean School to plan and prepare for relaunching a Christian Union for the lower school, years 7-10. It will meet on Fridays and we hope to start after the half term break, on 2nd November

Formally known as 'Waterproof', the group came to a natural end twelve months ago. After a year of focussing on praise and worship in the upper school the students are now keen to use and develop their leadership skills and encourage the younger students to explore and express their faith within the school.

The new name for the group is 'Crossroads', being centred on Christ but acknowledging that, for many, coming to faith is a journey with many points of decision. We will be using material from Rock Solid which has lots of fast moving games and activities as well as a thought for the day each week.

The leadership team is headed up by Ethan Richards, a Y13 student who attends a church in Cwmbran and who is hoping to go to Bible College next year and become a youth pastor.
